NYPD Recovers Two Illegal Firearms in Separate Incidents in the 90th and 79th Precincts

Two separate arrests in Brooklyn North on April 3, 2026 led to the recovery of illegal firearms, according to the NYPD.
At around 2:50 p.m. in the 90th Precinct, officers arrested a male found in possession of a loaded, defaced firearm. Later that evening, at approximately 7:09 p.m. in the 79th Precinct, another male was arrested with a loaded .40 caliber firearm.
The two firearms were recovered during the arrests, keeping them off the streets where they could potentially be used to do harm.
