Deadline Today: Affordable Housing Lottery Offers Williamsburg Apartments Starting at $1,574
Williamsburg residents have until today, Wednesday, September 2, to apply for an affordable housing lottery offering six newly constructed apartments at 229 Wythe Avenue.
The apartments are part of a new six-story, 30-unit development rising at the former site of the well-known Wythe Diner. The lottery includes three one-bedroom apartments renting for $1,574 per month and three two-bedroom apartments renting for $1,798 per month.
The rent-stabilized apartments are available to households of one to five people earning 60 percent of the Area Median Income, with qualifying annual household incomes ranging from $62,606 to $109,920.
Apartments include air conditioning, dishwashers, in-unit washers and dryers, and energy-efficient appliances. The building will also feature a fitness center, rooftop terrace and bicycle storage, although some amenities may carry additional fees.
The development is located near the East River and includes ground-floor retail space in addition to its residential units.
Applications for the 229 Wythe Avenue housing lottery close today, September 2, and eligible residents can apply through NYC Housing Connect.
