Nightly Closures Continue on Williamsburg Bridge Through May 1

Construction work on the Williamsburg Bridge is continuing, with new overnight closures affecting Manhattan-bound traffic.

The Manhattan-bound outer roadway will be fully closed on weeknights through May 1 as part of an ongoing rehabilitation project.

The closures will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. During these hours, drivers heading into Manhattan will need to follow posted detours.

Trucks are being directed to use the Manhattan Bridge as an alternate route.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes during overnight hours to avoid delays.
