No, The East River Didn’t Turn Into Blood: NYC Water Alerts Residents About Scheduled Water Test
By Idy Perl
The NYC Water department alerted local residents that they are conducting a routine sewer test today between 1 and 3PM at the south of the Williamsburg Bridge.
There will be a visible red dye in the East River, but there is no need for concern as it is part of the procedure.
The dye is non-toxic and will quickly dissipate in the water.
