Williamsburg Bridge Lane Closures Scheduled This Week

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) announced continued maintenance and rehabilitation work on the Williamsburg Bridge, resulting in lane closures from Monday, October 13th through Friday, October 17th.

According to DOT, work will take place daily between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with some closures extending until 5:00 PM.

Closure details:

• Brooklyn-bound Outer Roadway: One lane closed 24/7 during the project.

• Brooklyn-bound Inner Roadway: One lane closed 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

• Manhattan-bound Inner or Outer Roadway: One lane closed 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The walkway and bikeway will remain open but narrowed near work zones. DOT advises pedestrians and cyclists to use caution, noting that at least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
