Weekend Weather: Dangerous Heat Grips the Weekend

Friday will be dangerously hot with a high of 98° and a low of 80°. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect as oppressive humidity pushes the RealFeel temperature as high as 108°. Expect sunny skies, and be sure to stay hydrated, limit time outdoors when possible, and check on those who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

Shabbos will remain hot and humid with a high of 94° and a low of 76°. Sunshine and a few clouds are expected for much of the day before a thunderstorm may develop in the afternoon. The combination of dangerous heat and strong storms could even produce hail.

Sunday will be slightly cooler, with a high of 87° and a low of 71°, though it will still feel very warm because of the humidity. Expect plenty of sunshine before the chance of an afternoon thunderstorm develops.
