Tire Slashing Spree on Rutledge Street Under Investigation

Surveillance footage captured a troubling scene late last night on Rutledge Street between Lee Avenue and Marcy Avenue. A black Cadillac Escalade with Pennsylvania plates was recorded stopping repeatedly as a passenger exited and appeared to slash the tires of several parked vehicles.

The SUV is now the focus of an active investigation by the NYPD and Williamsburg Shomrim. Security footage from nearby buildings is being reviewed to identify those involved.

Chaveirim volunteers responded early this morning, assisting more than six car owners by replacing damaged tires with spares. 

Anyone who discovered tire damage or has relevant footage is urged to contact 911 and the Williamsburg Shomrim to report the incident.
