Three Arrested After Assaulting Children With Gel Gun in Williamsburg

For three consecutive nights, a group of troublemakers terrorized the Williamsburg neighberhood, returning at the same time each evening to shoot children with a gel gun and physically assault bystanders.

The disturbing spree left numerous children shaken and at least one woman suffered minor injuries.

On Wednesday night, Williamsburg Shomrim, working closely with the NYPD 90th Precinct, set up targeted patrols near Wallabout Street and Throop Avenue. As expected, the suspects returned for a fourth time to strike again. Shomrim volunteers immediately alerted NYPD officers on scene, leading to the suspects’ swift arrest.

During the arrests, the attackers escalated their violence by assaulting both a Shomrim volunteer and an NYPD officer. Hatzolah was on scene to provide medical care to victims and responders.

Thanks to the coordinated response of Shomrim, Hatzolah, and the NYPD’s 90th Precinct, all three suspects were placed under arrest and face multiple charges.
