Teamwork Between Boro Park and Williamsburg Shomrim Helps Lead to Arrest
By Y.M. Lowy
A coordinated effort across neighborhoods led police to two suspects connected to a necklace snatching in Williamsburg.
The incident began two days ago when Williamsburg Shomrim received a call reporting that a necklace had been taken. After gathering details, the group quickly shared the information with Shomrim teams in other communities.
Yesterday, a member of Boro Park Shomrim spotted a vehicle matching the description. Additional volunteers joined in and kept eyes on the car while notifying the police. Officers arrived soon after and placed two people under arrest.
According to police, the pair was also wanted in several other precincts in the area. The shared communication between the Shomrim groups helped bring the case to a close and assisted the NYPD in locating the suspects.
