A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident earlier this month in Williamsburg where a police officer was struck by a vehicle.

The incident happened on April 4 at Wallabout Street and Broadway, when officers attempted to stop a white Infiniti. As they approached, the driver suddenly sped forward, hitting two police vehicles, then reversed and struck an officer before fleeing the scene.

The officer suffered minor leg injuries and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

According to the New York City Police Department, the suspect, identified as Allen Garcia of Queens, was arrested Tuesday inside the NYPD 90th Precinct.

He is facing multiple charges, including assault, reckless endangerment, fleeing police, and leaving the scene of an incident.
