Stamp Prices Expected To Increase Sunday

Yisroel R.

The cost of mailing a letter is expected to rise again, with the U.S. Postal Service planning to increase the price of a Forever stamp.

The new rate will bring the cost of a First-Class Forever stamp to 82 cents, up from the current 78 cents. The increase means residents who still use regular mail for bills, letters, invitations, and other paperwork will pay an additional four cents per stamp.

The price change is part of a broader rate adjustment by the U.S. Postal Service, which has raised mailing costs several times in recent years as it works to deal with rising expenses and financial hikes.

Forever stamps already purchased at the lower price will still remain valid after the increase.
