FDNY and Hatzolah units responded to the scene following reports of a possible trapped patient. Two westbound lanes were temporarily closed, leaving only one lane open as emergency crews operated at the scene.

Despite the heavy damage to both vehicles, the individuals involved were transported by Hatzolah to the hospital in stable condition with minor injuries. No serious injuries were reported.
