Infamous FDNY Ladder 102 Strikes Cyclist While Responding to Fire Call

FDNY Ladder 102 struck a cyclist earlier at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Franklin Avenue while responding to an emergency fire call on DeKalb Avenue, once again drawing attention to the truck’s history of accidents.

EMS responded to the scene to assist the injured cyclist. 

In a previous incident reported by Williamsburg365, the same ladder truck was involved in a collision near Nostrand Avenue and DeKalb Street and was later seen being towed away. 

The latest crash involving a cyclist is a call to review driver safety practices and response procedures in busy neighborhood streets where families, children, and cyclists are constantly present.
