Preparations Underway For Vien Hachnasas Sefer Torah

By Idy Perl

The date for the highly anticipated hachnasas sefer Torah that will be taking place in Vien has been confirmed.

The sefer Torah has been dedicated by all the Vien chassidim, including young and old, from the balabatim to the yeshivah bochurim, in honor of the Rebbe shita. Multiple events were held for the writing of the letters, which allowed everyone the opportunity to have a part in the Torah.

Preparations are now underway for the grand hachnasos sefer Torah, and plans have been finalized for a three-day event that will be full of inspiration and joy. It will begin with a Shabbos HaKehillah, during which all chassidim will gather to experience Shabbos in the presence of the Rebbe shlita.

The Shabbos will take place on Parshas Pekudei, Shabbos HaChodesh, which will also be Shabbos Mevorchim for Chodesh Nissan. A luxurious hotel in Connecticut has been reserved, and plans are already underway to organize all the relevant details.

The Hachnasas Sefer Torah will be celebrated on Motzei Shabbos along with a festive Melaveh Malka. This will be held at the hotel as well and will feature a rich program and lively dancing.

The next day, Sunday Parshas Vayikra, which will also be Rosh Chodesh Nissan, the sefer Torah procession will take place. The community will accompany the sefer Torah as it will be brought with great joy and song to the main Beis Midrash of the Khal Adas Yireim Vien in Williamsburg.

The event will conclude with a celebratory seudas mitzvah in a magnificent ballroom in Williamsburg, which will be attended by a large crowd to honor the Torah.
