NYPD Cars Set on Fire in Late Night Attack
By Y.M. Lowy
A row of NYPD vehicles went up in flames late last night in a fenced in lot near Williamsburg. At least 11 cars, both marked and unmarked, were burned in what police believe was a deliberate attack.
Investigators found what appear to be tools used to start the fires near several of the vehicles, and they’re now looking for at least one suspect. There were no injuries, but the damage is extensive.
The fire comes as protests against ICE continue across the country. In New York City, most demonstrations have been peaceful. It’s unclear if the fires are connected to the protests.
