NYPD: 9 Illegal Firearms Seized in Bed-Stuy Multi-Precinct Operation

The NYPD announced that officers removed multiple illegal firearms from the streets of Bedford-Stuyvesant during a coordinated operation last week.

According to police, officers from the 79th, 81st, and 88th Precincts, along with NYPD Community Response Teams, worked together to recover a total of nine illegal guns.

Officials said the effort was part of ongoing initiatives to reduce gun violence and improve public safety in the area.

Police credited the coordinated response between units for the successful operation, noting that the removal of the weapons helps prevent potential violence and keep communities safer.
