NYC DOT Warns Drivers to Slow Down After Daylight Saving Time

By Y.M. Lowy

The New York City Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to be extra cautious on the roads this week as early nightfall returns.

Last week, rush hour happened in daylight. This week, it’s after dark. With sunsets now falling during peak travel times, the risk for pedestrian crashes rises sharply.

DOT officials urge drivers to slow down, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians crossing streets in the dim light.
