Time is running out for New York City residents to register to vote in the pivotal June 24, 2025, primary elections.
With a deadline of June 14, 2025, new voters and those needing to update their registration have just days left to ensure their voices are heard in selecting candidates for critical city offices, including the Democratic nominees for mayor, public advocate, comptroller, borough president, and city council. These races will shape the future of NYC’s policies on public safety, housing, education, and more.
Community leader Rabbi Moishe Indig is urging eligible voters to take action. In a recent social media post, he emphasized the importance of the upcoming primaries, stating, “Your vote is your voice - make sure it’s heard loud and clear.”
Rabbi Indig directed residents to nycvotes.turbovote.org, a user-friendly platform that simplifies voter registration and updates, taking just five minutes to complete. He also reminded voters that only those registered with a political party, such as the Democratic Party, can participate in choosing their party’s nominees in NYC’s closed primary system.
