Free Express Bus to Connect Domino Park and Prospect Park for Limited Two Weeks’ Time

A new free express bus service will soon begin running between Domino Park in Williamsburg and Prospect Park, giving Brooklyn residents a faster way to travel between the two popular parks without needing to take multiple subway lines.
The service, called The Ordinary Bus, is being promoted by a privately owned company as a short-term free transportation service. It is scheduled to run from Monday, May 26, through Tuesday, June 9, with no cost for riders.
The shuttle will connect Kent Avenue and South 5th Street near Domino Park with Eastern Parkway in front of the Brooklyn Public Library near Prospect Park. Weekday service will run from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., while weekend service will run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The route is being presented as a faster option for people traveling between the Williamsburg waterfront and the Prospect Park area, a trip that can often take longer by subway or require transfers. Riders will also be able to track the bus online while the service is active.
The service is not a regular city bus route and is only planned for the two-week period. It comes ahead of the busy summer season, when both Domino Park and Prospect Park draw large crowds from across Brooklyn.
