Domino Square Waterfront Plaza Opens In Williamsburg
By Idy Perl
A new waterfront plaza, called Domino Square, has opened in Williamsburg at 320 Kent Ave, by the site of the old Domino Sugar Refinery.
The newly renovated space features an egg-shaped plaza, which will be turned into an ice-skating rink in the winter. The plaza is surrounded by bleacher-style seating that is set into edgy concrete and glass structures that will soon host various vendors. The spacious seating is surrounded by lush landscaping and provides a beautiful view of the plaza and the East River.
The plaza is set to host various gatherings and events, such as farmers markets, and provides a space for locals to sit and enjoy some peace and nature amidst the bustling city.
