Williamsburg residents should be aware that a film production will set off a planned explosion and large fireball today in the area of Washington Avenue and Flushing Avenue.

The filming will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and will include an explosion effect that will send a fireball approximately 20 feet into the air.

Residents in the area should not be alarmed if they hear an explosion or see a large fire, as it will be part of the film production and not an actual emergency.

FDNY will be on the scene during the filming to make sure the explosion and fire are carried out safely.

Residents and drivers in the area should be prepared for activity surrounding the production while filming is underway.
