What’s New With NYC Ferry This Summer

A summer ferry ride has a way of bringing back memories of childhood. The soft rocking of the boat, the fresh breeze, and the view of the city remind us of simpler times. Why not share that feeling with your children and make new memories on the ferry?

Last Monday, NYC Ferry rolled out its summer 2025 schedule changes. The updates include adjusted departure times on key routes like Rockaway, Astoria, Soundview, and South Brooklyn to improve service during busy periods.

To help manage increased crowds, uniformed NYC Ferry agents will be present at over 15 ferry landings during peak hours throughout the summer. Riders should follow their instructions and may be asked to wait off the landing to keep boarding orderly and safe.
