Warning: Crack Down On Illegal Containers During Busy Yom Tov Season

By Idy Perl

The 90th precinct has announced that they will be enforcing container regulations in the area as the busy Yom Tov season gets closer.

These laws are to help mitigate the extremely crowded streets, with the important parking spots, and ease up some of the traffic on the roads as well as the sidewalks.

Stores are not allowed to place large containers outside their stores without a proper permit. Many shops often have large containers blocking parking space on the road, and these will be towed away by the sanitation department if they are placed on the road illegally, in addition to the fine the store will receive.

The NYPD is encouraging local stores that will be needing a container in the next few weeks to apply for a permit now so as not to run into any problems.
