Upcoming Weather Alerts: Fog, Rain, Humidity, and Heat

By Y.M. Lowy
The National Weather Service held a coordination call yesterday with City’s official forecasting and severe weather partners, to get ready for the changing weather this week. Here’s what’s coming and what to keep in mind.
Later today, between 2 and 9 PM, showers and thunderstorms are likely. Strong winds and heavy rain are possible. Tonight we can once again expect dense fog.
Tomorrow will be hotter, with highs in the low 90s. Storms may hit again between 4 and 9 PM.
A prolonged stretch of heat is expected to begin on Sunday and continue into next week. Now’s the time to check your AC, make sure cooling options are in place, and think about who around you might need extra support when it gets hot. Stay indoors when you can and drink plenty of water.
