A two-car MVA took place Tuesday night at the intersection of Lee Avenue and Hewes Street, prompting a major response from Williamsburg Hatzolah, FDNY, and Shomrim.

Four patients were evaluated at the scene. Among them were a father, mother, and their baby, who were sitting in their vehicle when the crash occurred. All three were transported to Bellevue Hospital for further care. A fourth patient was treated on scene and did not require transport.

According to the NYPD, one of the drivers involved was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The arrest was made with assistance from Shomrim members who were already on scene.
