Three juveniles are suspected in two armed robberies that unfolded Monday evening, police told Williamsburg 365 News.

The first robbery occurred at approximately 6:07 p.m. at a wine store on Throop Avenue. Video footage shows three juveniles entering the store and allegedly holding it up at gunpoint. A wallet was taken from a worker before the suspects fled. No injuries were reported, police said.

A second robbery was reported at 6:15 p.m. at Willoughby General on Willoughby Avenue. Investigators say the same three juveniles allegedly entered the store, again displaying a firearm. During the incident, a worker’s phone was taken, along with approximately $250 in cash from the register, according to police.

Police later recovered a firearm in the area of Hart Street between Marcy Avenue and Tompkins Avenue, and authorities told Williamsburg 365 News the weapon is connected to both robberies.

One juvenile is currently in custody, police said, though it has not yet been confirmed whether the individual in custody is directly connected to the two robberies. Investigators believe there were three suspects total, with two still outstanding.

The investigation remains ongoing.
