Snowfall Across Tri-State Area

Snowfall Across Tri-State Area

By Idy Perl

On Sunday the tri-state area was covered in a beautiful blanket of snow that fell from Sunday afternoon through midnight, with cities across the tri-state area accumulating between 1-8 inches of snow.

Here’s how much snowfall local areas received:

  • Manhattan: 1.6-1.8 inches
  • Brooklyn: 2.7-3 inches
  • Monsey: 5.2 inches.
  • Highland Hills: 8.1 inches

DSNY crews were out on Monday to plow and salt local streets after the snowfall to ensure that the roads are safe. They are expected to continue operations throughout the day.

But the worst of the extreme weather isn’t behind us yet; frigid temperatures are expected from Monday night through Wednesday, when wind chills and plunging temperatures will cause a real feel below zero degrees. Make sure to bundle up warmly!
