Shocking Random Assault on Myrtle Avenue in Broad Daylight
By Williamsburg 365 Staff
In a swift response, the NYPD, with the help from Shomrim, apprehended a perpetrator responsible for a random and violent assault on a Yingerman, at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Bedford Avenue.
Without any prior connection or dispute, the Yingerman was going about his daily routine when he was suddenly attacked by an angry individual. The assailant struck him violently, targeting his head and hat, with the intent to inflict harm and terrorize him.
Interestingly, an NYPD van, which happened to drive by during the attack, was initially unaware of the incident. However, once alerted, the officers in the van took immediate action and successfully arrested the suspect.
NYPD Hate Crimes Units are currently investigating the case.
NYPD Deputy Chief Richie Taylor told Williamsburg365, "The strong working relationship between the NYPD and Williamsburg Shomrim was crucial in leading to the swift arrest of the perpetrator. Although this perpetrator was transported to a local hospital for psychiatric evaluation, behavior like this will never be tolerated or excused by the NYPD.”
