Seasonal Green Market Reopens Near Williamsburg
By Idy Perl
GrowNYC Greenmarket has announced the opening of 22 farmers markets across the five boroughs this summer.
GrownNYC’s markets bring fresh, delicious produce from local farms to communities in New York, with this year’s farm network doubling in size from last year.
The Williamsburg market is located in the Domino Park and is open every Sunday from 8AM-3PM. The market opened on July 16th and will run through November 24. Payment in cash or credit, as well as EBT/SNAP/WIC, is accepted.
“The seasonal bounty and selection of producers at GrowNYC Greenmarket sites is unparalleled, from just-picked fruits and vegetables, artisan breads & baked goods, jams, fresh caught fish, maple syrup, flowers, and so much more week after week, all season long,” Director of GrowNYC, Angela Davis, said. “Swing by the market information tent for special cooking demonstrations, seasonal programming, and learn more about how to use your nutrition benefits to purchase the freshest produce in the Northeast!"
