Readers Write: Thank You, Mayor Mamdani

To the Editor,

I feel it is important, and entirely appropriate, to publicly thank Mayor Mamdani for the way he is leading New York City during this snowstorm.

In the days leading up to the storm, the Mayor stayed on top of every development, keeping New Yorkers informed with continuous updates, visiting city agencies, reviewing reports, and giving interview after interview to make sure the public had accurate information and clear guidance. His involvement never slowed down for a moment.

Today, as the storm continues to pound the entire area, the Mayor has remained out in the cold and snow, giving multiple interviews, checking in on agencies and operations, and spending the day connecting directly with the people who keep this city moving - workers, volunteers, first responders, and emergency crews. He even took the time to personally assist by helping shovel out vehicles stuck in the snow in Williamsburg.

In a time when New Yorkers need leadership the most, Mayor Mamdani didn’t stay behind a desk - he showed up. His dedication, visibility, and commitment to public service deserve recognition and thanks. This has been a strong early test of leadership, and he has met it with real impact.

Thank you Mayor!

Sincerely,

Moshe E.
