Overnight Closures Continue on Williamsburg Bridge Through May 15

Construction work on the Williamsburg Bridge is continuing, with ongoing overnight closures affecting Manhattan-bound traffic as part of a rehabilitation project by the DOT.

The Manhattan-bound outer roadway will remain fully closed on weeknights through May 15. Closures will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

During these overnight closures, all trucks heading toward Manhattan will be required to use the Manhattan Bridge as an alternate route. Detours will also be in place from S. 4th Street/Flushing Avenue and Route 278 Exit 29/Flushing Avenue.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, expect delays, and allow extra travel time during the construction hours.
