NYPD Seeks Suspects in Citywide Necklace-Snatching Pattern; One from 79th Precinc

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two individuals wanted in connection with a citywide robbery pattern spanning multiple precincts, including the 79th Precinct in Brooklyn.

According to police, between April 1 and June 9, 2026, the suspects allegedly carried out 12 robbery incidents across the 72nd, 73rd, 79th, 81st, 83rd, 102nd, 108th, and 110th Precincts. Investigators said the pair traveled on a moped and targeted victims by forcibly snatching necklaces and other personal property.

In one incident, one of the suspects allegedly displayed a knife from his waistband before stealing a 37-year-old victim’s necklace. In separate incidents, a 46-year-old man and a 60-year-old man suffered minor neck injuries during the thefts. No other injuries were reported.

The NYPD released surveillance images obtained from incidents within the 79th, 83rd, and 108th Precincts as investigators work to identify and locate the suspects.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish-speaking callers. Tips can also be submitted online through the Crime Stoppers website or via X @NYPDTips.
