NYPD Officer Involved in Accident, Transported in Serious Condition

An NYPD officer was involved in an accident at the intersection of Willoughby Avenue and Walworth Street. A person on the passenger side reportedly suffered a medical condition, likely causing the driver to lose focus.

Hatzalah responded to the accident and provided treatments, before the officer was transported to a nearby medical center in serious condition.

FDNY and EMS responded to the scene as well.

The area remains closed for vehicular traffic as the NYPD is conducting an investigation.
