Nightly Closures Continue on Williamsburg Bridge Through May 8

Construction work on the Williamsburg Bridge is continuing, with ongoing closures affecting Manhattan-bound traffic as part of a rehabilitation project by the DOT.

The Manhattan-bound outer roadway will be fully closed on weeknights through May 8. Closures will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

During these hours, drivers heading into Manhattan will need to follow posted detours. 

In addition to the overnight closures, there will also be daytime rolling lane closures in both directions from May 4 through May 8. One lane at a time will be closed between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
