New Satmar Shul In Gerry Street Neighborhood

Satmar chassidim are preparing for an uplifting Shabbos in celebration of their first week davening in their new magnificent shul.

The shul is located in the Gerry Street neighborhood and will be a hub of Torah and davening for the Satmar chassidim in the area.

The beis medrash has been under construction for the past year and has now finally reached completion after much work and effort.

At 1pm on Friday afternoon the kvias mezuzah will be held at the new beis medrash, led by the Satmar Rebbe shlit”a. The shul’s biggest community donors will also get the opportunity to affix a mezuzah in the beis medrash.

The Satmar Rebbe shlit”a will also lead the davening on Shabbos by day to celebrate with the kehilla. After davening there will be a grand kiddush, and hundreds of chassidim will then accompany the Rebbe back to his home on Bedford Avenue.
