An excavator fell through a temporary floor at a construction site in Downtown Brooklyn, just minutes from Williamsburg.

The incident happened around 6:23 p.m. at 245 Duffield Street, where construction crews were working at the site.

The heavy equipment broke through the temporary flooring and fell into the area below. Video from the scene appears to show the excavator after it went through the floor, with the equipment left partially below the temporary structure.
