Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani Visits Williamsburg, Meets Community Leaders During Sukkos
Earlier today, mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani spent time in Williamsburg visiting community leaders as part of the Yom Tov of Sukkos celebrations.
His first stop was at the sukkah of Rabbi Moishe Indig, who hosted a large gathering that included Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, numerous NYPD law-enforcement officials, and many local community leaders. The event served as a moment of unity, bringing together city and community representatives to celebrate the Yom Tov and strengthen working relationships.
Following that visit, Mamdani’s second stop was at the sukkah of askan R’ Shulem Deutch, where he met with several local askanim, including Sam Stern of the (UJO). The discussion centered on continued collaboration between city leadership and the Williamsburg community, focusing on public service and neighborhood priorities.
The day’s visits highlighted Williamsburg’s hallmark spirit of partnership and respect, as public officials and community leaders came together during the joyous days of Sukkos to celebrate, connect, and reaffirm their shared commitment to a stronger New York City.
