Massive Tow Operation in Williamsburg for Illegally Parked Trucks

By Williamsburg 365 Staff

The NYPD, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, New York City Sheriff's Office, and Councilman Lincoln Restler, launched a large-scale tow operation targeting illegally parked trucks and other vehicles in Williamsburg.

Askanim such as Rabbi Moshe Duvid Niederman and R'Moshe Weiser were on scene working along with the personnel of the multiple agencies at the operation

The operation took place Thursday night at the corner of Union Avenue and Walton Street, as well as on Throop Avenue and Wallabout Street, areas where vehicles have been parked for extended periods—some for what locals described as "ages."

This action comes after repeated requests and mounting frustrations from residents and community leaders regarding these long-abandoned vehicles cluttering the streets. The coordinated effort aims to free up valuable parking space and ensure that city regulations are enforced.

Officials urge vehicle owners to follow parking laws, emphasizing that enforcement efforts will continue in the coming weeks to prevent further violations.
