Local Law Enforcement Tour Satmar Matzah Bakery

As the community prepares for Pesach, local law enforcement officials, including Deputy Chief Ritchie Taylor, Brooklyn North Chief Scott Henderson, and commanding officers from the 90th, 94th, 88th, and 79th precincts, toured the Satmar Matzah bakery on Broadway Ave. They were accompanied by askanim Moshe Weiser, Shmiel Stern from UJO, Avrum Yakov Freidman, Joel Freidman, and Yakov Iskowitz.

The visit provided law enforcement with an inside look at the meticulous matzah-baking process and strengthened ties with community leaders ahead of Yom Tov.

Following the bakery tour, the group visited the iconic Gottlieb’s Restaurant, where they met with the owner to offer condolences on the passing of his father. His father’s passing occurred just months before former President Trump was scheduled to visit the restaurant while on the campaign trail.
