Lafayette Avenue Fire Confirmed as Arson

The fire on Lafayette Avenue last week has now been confirmed as an act of arson.

As previously reported, the fire spread quickly, leaving three buildings unlivable. The Department of Buildings ordered these buildings vacated due to safety concerns, and all residents were forced to leave until repairs or further inspections can be made.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.
