Housing Lottery Opens for 23 Senior Affordable Apartments Near Williamsburg

By Y.M. Lowy

A new affordable housing lottery is now open for 23 senior apartments at Impacct Myrtle Senior Residences, located at 778 Myrtle Avenue in Bedford–Stuyvesant, near the Williamsburg area. The application window is open for another 11 days, with the deadline set for February 16.

The building is designed for senior residents and includes a range of on-site amenities such as a laundry room, 24-hour superintendent, common courtyard, bike room, community room, and a social services office. The property has an accessible entrance, elevator service, and is smoke-free throughout.

A portion of the apartments are reserved to support accessibility needs. Five percent are set aside for households with a mobility disability, and two percent for households with visual or hearing disabilities.

The development was built through several public programs, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program through the New York State Housing Finance Agency, along with Inclusionary Housing and Supportive Housing programs through the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

Eligible household incomes range from $31,715 to $140,000, depending on household size, which can range from one to five people.

Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements can apply online through NYC Housing Connect. Those who prefer to apply by mail can request an application by sending a self-addressed envelope to:

P.O. Box 592 — Impacct Myrtle c/o Infinite Horizons, 521 West 146th Street, New York, NY 10031.
