Heat Advisory Issued for Friday as Temperatures Climb
By Y.M. Lowy
After a few cooler days, the heat and humidity are returning.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Friday, with temperatures expected to hit the mid-90s. The advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents are urged to take precautions. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and when possible, seek shelter in air-conditioned spaces to remain comfortable.
If you need to be outside, make sure to take regular breaks in the shade and watch out for signs of heat exhaustion like dizziness, nausea, or a rapid heartbeat.
