Hagaon Rav Naftali Lebovitz, zt”l

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of Rav Naftali Lebovitz, a well-known gaon and masmid and confidante of the Satmar Rebbe. He spent a lifetime immersed in avodas hakodesh. 

The niftar was the son of Rav Ezriel Yehuda Lebovitz and was raised in the sphere of the Satmar Rebbe in Williamsburg. 

His brilliance shone forth from a young age, and he was chosen to transcribe the Torah of the Divrei Yoel of Satmar—a work that took no small amount of brilliance and meticulousness. 

Through his work, the Chiddushei Torah of the Satmar Rebbe have been preserved for eternity. 

In addition to his Torah brilliance, Rav Naftali was a true chossid and an ehrliche Yid, carrying the flame for generations to come.

With his passing, we have lost a a true guardian of the flame, a precious personality, and a true eved Hashem.  

The Levaye will take place 10:30 at the Dushinkie Bhm"d 135 Ross St, followed with a Levaye in Monsey and Kevurah in Kiryas Yoel.
