Williamsburg was the scene of a high-profile Purim celebration last night as Rabbi Naftuli Moshe Indig hosted a grand event attended by top city and state officials, law enforcement, and community leaders.
Among the notable attendees were NYS Governor Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Letitia James, NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, Councilmember Lincoln Restler, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso along with his senior advisor Yanky Eisdorfer, and representatives from the Mayor’s Office. Law enforcement leaders, including the Chief of Brooklyn North, NYPD Hate Crime Force, and the NYPD’s 90th, 88th, and 94th Precincts, were also present.
Community askanim Yoel Friedman and Moshe Weiser joined the celebration alongside representatives from Williamsburg and Boro Park Shomrim, Hatzolah and Chaveirim. Community Liaison Pinny Ringel and Yoel Eisdorfer were also in attendance, further underscoring the strong ties between local leaders and government officials.
