G Line Trains Shut Down This Weekend
By Y.M. Lowy
The G line service will be suspended this weekend between Bedford-Nostrand and Church avenues while the MTA works on upgrading the subway’s signal system. The shutdown starts Friday night and ends Monday at 5 a.m.
The MTA says these upgrades will make train service more reliable. Many riders remember last summer’s six-week G line closure and are glad this one will only last a few days.
While trains are not running, the MTA will provide free shuttle buses to help riders get where they need to go. Plan ahead and check the MTA TrainTime app for updates.
