The U.S. Coast Guard has announced that it will be enforcing a safety zone on the East River between the Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges on Friday, June 6, due to scheduled maritime operations.
The safety zone will be in effect from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, during which time no vessel traffic will be permitted to pass through the area. The restriction is expected to impact ferry services, with delays anticipated during the enforcement window.
Travelers planning to use ferry transportation in the area are advised to plan accordingly and monitor updates from official sources, including Notify NYC.
