BREAKING: Judge Lifts TRO on Bedford Avenue Bike Lane

Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Carolyn Walker-Diallo has officially lifted the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) that had blocked the City of New York from making modifications to the Bedford Avenue bike lane.

The judge’s ruling states the TRO is “lifted and of no force or effect,” allowing the city to proceed with its planned changes.

This decision comes just one day after Mayor Eric Adams visited Williamsburg, where he met with concerned parents and children to hear their repeated safety concerns.

The Williamsburg community has long pushed for modifications to the bike lane, citing dangers near schools, crosswalks, and bus drop-off areas.

“Now the Mayor can deliver for the community — just as he promised,” said a local parent following the judge’s decision.
