BDE: R' Asher Zelig Kaufman, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Asher Zelig Kaufman, z"l, a longtime Williamsburg resident. 

The niftar struggled with the dreaded multiple sclerosis disease for three decades, but always had a smile on his face, always greeted everyone with friendliness, and always sought to give of himself to others. 

He navigated his illness with grace and with acceptance, serving as a kiddush Hashem to all those who knew him and admired him. 

He came to Shul with great mesirus nefesh, including on the morning before his passing. 

The levaya took place in Williamsburg on Motzei Yom Kippur, and kevurah took place in the Kiryas Yoel beis hachaim.
