Today is the decisive day in New York City’s mayoral election, a race that has captured national attention, featuring three candidates people either love, hate, or feel indifferent toward, each representing a very different vision for the city.

Zohran Mamdani has burst onto the city-wide stage with youthful energy and momentum, leading virtually every poll and rallying young voters behind his progressive agenda.

Andrew Cuomo, a long-established political figure, has drawn both support and controversy over his COVID-19 rhetoric towards the Jews. Among the three candidates, most Orthodox Jewish voters and kehillahs have chosen Cuomo, seeing him as the preferable choice over Mamdani and Sliwa.

Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate, has drawn support from voters who chose him over the other two candidates, he visited Boro Park this past Sunday as part of his campaign.

Early voting shattered records, with massive turnout and long lines across the city. The race has also been electrified by national commentary. President Donald Trump tweeted last night on Truth:

"If Communist Candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the Election for Mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home, because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance of success, or even survival! It can only get worse with a Communist at the helm, and I don’t want to send, as President, good money after bad. It is my obligation to run the Nation, and it is my strong conviction that New York City will be a Complete and Total Economic and Social Disaster should Mamdani win. His principles have been tested for over a thousand years, and never once have they been successful. I would much rather see a Democrat, who has had a Record of Success, WIN, than a Communist with no experience and a Record of COMPLETE AND TOTAL FAILURE. He was nothing as an Assemblyman, ranked at the bottom of the class and, as Mayor of potentially, again, the Greatest City in the World, HE HAS NO CHANCE to bring it back to its former Glory! We must also remember this — A vote for Curtis Sliwa (who looks much better without the beret!) is a vote for Mamdani. Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him, and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!"

This morning, Trump tweeted:

"Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!"

Elon Musk, using his X platform, urged voters to support Cuomo, writing:

"Remember to vote tomorrow in New York! Bear in mind that a vote for Curtis is really a vote for Mumdumi or whatever his name is. VOTE CUOMO!"

As New Yorkers head to the polls today, the choice carries immediate and long-term implications - for the city, its communities, and the future of America’s city with the largest Jewish population.

Polls close at 9 p.m., but voters are encouraged to go as early as possible, and anyone in line before 9 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballot. The earlier in the day, the better.
