Suspect Wanted for Snatching Phones on Scooter
By Y.M. Lowy
The NYPD is looking for a suspect who stole phones from two women in two separate incidents in Williamsburg.
The first theft happened on May 11 near Pacific Street, where a woman had her phone snatched right out of her hand.
Six days later, on May 17, a similar scene played out near Hewes Street and Kent Avenue. Again, a woman was walking when someone rolled up behind her and grabbed her phone. In both cases, the thief sped off on a motorized scooter.
Anyone walking with a phone in hand should stay alert. Police are asking for help identifying the suspect and remind the public that a moment of awareness can help prevent a quick theft.
